Volunteer Call Out for Black Moon Disco!

We are looking for volunteers!
Are you interested in meeting people, having fun, building experience and skills, and making a difference to others?
We are looking for volunteers to join our award-winning team to support Black Moon Disco. Black Moon is a Black Box Project for and by adults with learning disabilities that provides an authentic club experience. It has been running for 13 years and is a very popular event.
We believe everyone has the right to a night out! Black Moon Disco is affiliated with the Stay Up Late campaign who are a grassroots charity that enables adults with learning disabilities and/or autism to lead active social lives and make decisions about how they want to live their life.
Black Moon is an 18 + monthly disco that takes place at The Black Box 18-22 Hill Street, usually the first Tuesday of every month, 7pm – 10pm.
Black Moon is led by our Black Moon DJ crew, and we are looking for volunteers to support the staff team to deliver a positive environment for our regular attendees to enjoy themselves!
We are looking for people who enjoy dancing, socialising and being in a club environment and can commit to attending once a month. It is beneficial if you have experience of supporting people who identify as disabled, but volunteering will also be an opportunity to gain experience.
Volunteers will be required to complete ACCESS NI and reference checks. Safeguarding training and Disability Equality Training will be provided.
