We have lift off! Moon Music’, run by The Black Box Trust, Belfast – have made their first Music Video! ‘Red Ribbon’ was written before ‘Lockdown’ and mixed and recorded virtually during ‘Lockdown’!
‘Red Ribbon’ connects our group members, volunteers, staff and Carers from here in Belfast, to Bangor, Larne, Portadown, Dundonald, Donaghadee, Spain, New York and New Jersey! Moon Music goes global!

Moon Music is a weekly Music Workshop part of ‘Moon Base’, a programme of projects for and by people with learning disabilities. Moon Music has been running for 2 years and was established with support from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation. Through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland Arts & Older People programme the group recorded their first EP of original music, ‘Moon Waves’ at Half Bap recording studios in 2019. Moon Music are now working on their second collection of songs which have a Protest/Rock ‘n’ Roll theme – taking influence from Little Richard, Peggy Seeger, The Clash and more!
