Original Songs by Randall Stephen Hall
With the wonderful Nick Scott

Here are three tracks from my new album
In the form of links.

THE REIVER AND THE GAEL. Promo track. ISRC UK UKT 2500055
https://soundcloud.com/randall-stephen-hall/rsh-reiver-and-the-gael-demo-11724

The Reivers were clans living on the Borders between Scotland and England.
Often warring amongst each other, the Reivers were exiled to Ulster during
the great Pacification between 1603 and 1610 and cursed by the Bishop of Carlisle.
Seven years of brutal oppression by King James the 6th of Scotland and 1st of England.
The Reivers were involved in Sheep and Cattle Rustling, Protection, Blackmail, Thievery, Murder
violence of all sorts, work as mercenaries, criminality out of necessity. They were mostly Catholic
yet ending up, hundreds of years later, on both sides of the Troubles conflict.
They had names such as Graham, Maxwell, Armstrong and Elliott, Hall, Irvine, Kerr, Thompson
Turnbull (Trimble), Hume, Dodds, Douglas, Dickson, Nixon, Moffat, Huddleston, Hetherington,
Carruthers, Charlton and many more.

THE BOATYARD. Promo track. ISRC UK UKT 2500062

The story of Noah McFreeboy who sets up a fantasy boatyard where new ideas are built
to be launched out into the world. The reason for writing the song was growing up in north Belfast
