about
‘Sympathy is a knife’ is a show about loss, about home and the body. Everything has changed but it still feels the same, the societal expectations. When I’m there, I want to leave. There’s a silent but visceral anger, the guilt is perhaps gone but its decades of sadness. Waiting around, seeing how much you can tolerate.
