about
The Exocyst is a new drink and art project deriving its’ name from a protein complex involved in exocytosis, the process of transporting stuff out of the cell. Here, it takes a rather exorcistic objective, to rid our bodies of bad juju bacteria, sulphate-reducing bacteria like Desulvibro sp., which target pre-dominantly neurospicy people and like real vampires suck iron and happy energy out of them. The drinks
ingredients are foraged and sustainably sourced by the artist. Extracted phytochemicals and the lactobacillus with which the drink is fermented have at least in mice studies elevated dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin production. You may be among the first to witness similar effects in
humans. A free drink will be given to anyone who participates in a Marker survey for continued project development.
Disclaimer: This is an art project, no claims of health benefits associated with the consumption of the drink are being made.
