The Cambridge Footlights are the world-famous student comedy society who first aired the talents of some of the foremost British comedians and actors. Coming back bigger and better than ever, get ready to watch the Footlights Tour take the world by storm! Many of our former members have gone on to win Oscars, BAFTAs and other awards and enjoy success in the entertainment and media industry. We pride ourselves on our sensational alumni list, with Footlights helping to launch the careers of the likes of Emma Thompson, Stephen Fry, John Oliver, Mel Giedroyc, John Cleese, Miriam Margolyes, Hugh Laurie, Mitchell and Webb, Richard Ayoade, Olivia Colman, John Oliver and Sue Perkins. 

This year ‘the most renowned sketch troupe of them all’ (The Independent) Are back once again for our 2024 tour! The Footlights will embarking on another exceptional world tour. The Cambridge Footlights’ Tour Show is an hourlong sketch comedy show written and performed by five of the best up-and-coming Cambridge comedians. This year, the footlights are back on the road again performing their best sketch show yet, before sinister forces try to stop their comedy all together!
