Join us in what promises to be a fantastic charity event for The Christopher McCollum Fund. What a great night it was last year in The Black Box with ‘30 Songs for Chris’ which featured Anthony Toner, Brendan Murphy, Ben Glover, Matt McGinn and John McCullough. Well – ‘Songs for Chris’ returns with Anthony, Brendan, Matt and John, along with Malojian (Stevie Scullion). Christopher had Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and passed away in 2001 aged 16.
His parents Gerry and Geraldine set up the charity in 2008 which raises funds for wheelchairs and other equipment for young disabled people as well as the MDUK Duchenne Research Breakthrough Fund. Christopher had two loves – Man United and music. ‘30 Songs for Chris’ marked his 30th year and ‘Songs for Chris’ returns will mark his 15th anniversary. Gerry and Geraldine are delighted to mark his anniversary with 4 of Northern Ireland’s most talented singer/songwriters accompanied by the wonderful John McCullough on keyboards. Anthony also designed the event poster and a special feature is a photo of a young Christopher with all the artists.
This will be another fabulous night of music, songs and stories with great craic from such a fantastic line-up as well of course raising funds for young disabled people and research.
