TIME TO BE PROUD’S 10TH ANNUAL TRIBUTE NIGHT TO CELEBRATE THE LIFE AND MUSIC OF LUX INTERIOR (1946-2009) & THE CRAMPS ★ ★ ★

The Cramps were a wonderfully wild ‘n’ wacky punk alternative psychobilly rock ‘n’ roll band. The group was first formed by lead singer Lux Interior and guitarist Poison Ivy Rorschach in 1976 in New York City along with drummer Miriam Linna and guitarist Bryan Gregory. They distinguished themselves from the rest of the pack by their deliciously campy ‘n’ crazy sensibility, wholehearted passion for both old-fashioned straight ‘n’ simple retro 50s rock music and entertainingly trashy grade B movies, and an appropriately raw ‘n’ bluesy full-throttle raucous rollicking sound. They continued to record and play live until Lux Interior died at the age of 62 from a heart condition on February 4, 2009.
★ Ryan Fitzsimmons will be playing the music that inspired Lux and The Cramps and their psycho garage punk contemporaries. Not to mention a whole B-movie sci-fi rocket ship load of Cramps Cramps Cramps!!!

★ Expect, 50s Raging Rockabilly, The Cramps, Rhythm & Blues & RnR, The Cramps, 60’s Sci-Fi Surf, The Cramps, Odd Ball Weirdo Delights, The Cramps, 70s New York Punk Rock n Roll and oh yeah, did we mention – THE CRAMPS!!!

★ Plus! Live music by Cramps lovin’ humanoid bands as they trash it up with renditions of some of their favourite Cramps songs!!!

The Sabrejets (Rock’n’Roll as it was intended to be)
