EVAWG: Here’s Where We’re At
Doors 1:00 pm, running from 1:30-3pm / £3
A facilitated gathering offering an accessible, entry-level introduction to violence against women and girls, in a Northern Ireland context. This session is about building shared understanding: what the issue looks like today, why it matters, and how it shows up in everyday life.
Held as a calm safe space, balancing facts and statistical information with moments to pause, reflect, and connect. Heavy content is approached with care, allowing participants to engage at their own pace and leave feeling informed, connected, and empowered.
EVAWG: Creative Beer Mat Workshop
Doors 3:15 pm, running from 3:30-5pm / £3
A hands on design workshop creating beer mats for The Black Box.
Using collage and illustration to create DIY designs that will be printed on beer mats for use in the venue, that will include support services on the back. Punky, expressive catharsis, this workshop will feature a playlist of your punk and riot grrrl favourites. Participants will be able to collect two of their designed beer mats after the event.
No creative experience needed, all materials provided.
This Project has been proudly supported by Belfast City Council and funded through Ending Violence Against Women & Girls fund.
