GENDERS & NON GENDERS come smell the prevailing winds of HUMAN toxicity in the air and plunge your human meat gloves into the zeitgeist pavlova and gently take each other by the frontal cortex as we ascend into the sparkling mind satchel of comedian Paul Victor Currie.
This is an early stages work in progress of his new hour long show TRUFFICLE MUSK that will be going to Edinburgh Fringe 2019. TRUFFICLE MUSK is his 6th hour long Show and the follow up to last years hit HOT DONKEY which won Paul the BEST SHOW comedians choice award at the Edinburgh Fringe.

This new show will see Currie get even more personal than in any previous show. He’ll delve into his personal experience of 40 years of being bullied, his ongoing struggle with anxiety & mental health and his love of glove, interpretive dance and ice therapy.

Expect truth bombs galore but also life affirming fun in equal measure.

Think Monty Python meets Samuel Becket in a cheap hotel bed on a cocktail of Buckfast and Rum and your not even close.

Tickets at £5 guarantee a seat or PWYW (pay what you want) on exit.

“Paul Currie is a disturbingly brilliant comic who plays his crowd like the conductor of an orchestra. Currie’s ability to have the audience in his thrall as an ensemble, waiting expectantly in absolute silence for the next moment, is genius.”
Broadway Baby 2018

“The way Currie interacts with the crowd is a marvel in itself as he effortlessly manipulates them with barely a word. The audience are treated with love and respect and it’s hard to see a face that doesn’t grin with childish glee at the antics in the room. Hot Donkey balances the right amount of the absurdity in a comedy hour that will tickle the heart of even the most straight laced cynics.
The WEE Review 2018

“I wish I’d seen him sooner. I’ll be back to see him every year. My favourite comedy show of the Fringe this year.”

“Currie is utterly unique. A new standard has been set for the fringe. ”
The Skinny

“There was something extra original about this guy, it was like watching the Monty Python version of stand-up comedy.” ★★★★★

“a unique blast of silly that’s found its groove and place amongst the Fringe’s elite… he’s fast developing a cult following.
… everything Currie does has the spirit of Vic and Bob, The Young Ones and everything surreal that’s come before or since”
EdFest magazine

“Currie is easily the King of the Fringe.” ★★★★★
Voice Magazine

“Paul Currie’s style of stand-up defies expectations and labels… you’ll leave with cheeks and sides aching with laughter — and little idea of what’s just happened.” ★★★★
The Times

“Currie is so inventive that it’s genuinely astounding.”
