Do you like scary movies? The continuing popularity of horror films would suggest many people do. But why do we like being scared and what makes a great horror film? In this seminar, scientist and film fan Dr Declan McKenna explains the tricks that horror movies use to frighten us. Using clips from well-known films, he explains the science behind the emotional and psychological responses we experience when we watch a scary movie. It promises to be a monster night out for horror fans!
