Underground party pioneer and steerer of East Belfast’s electronic hub & record store Sound Advice, Marion Hawkes comes back to the Green Room for a regular monthly residency – first up is Friday 13 Jan (ooo).
With over two decades of collecting and obsessing over music, Belfast native Marion Hawkes’ sets are known for their genre and era hopping eclecticism both live and on the airwaves for the likes of Dublin Digital Radio, NTS, Melodic Distraction & Neighbourhood.
The DJ has played all over the UK & Ireland, from Sub Club, Soup Kitchen, La Cheetah to Meraki and helped push and maintain the local underground electronic scene at home – notably with female focused duo Girl, Queer club night Ponyhawke, and opening record store Sound Advice Belfast at the end of 2021.
