“I collect organic elements that are the ‘debris’ of nature – pervading moss, clusters of clovers, scattered
leaves, dandelion clocks awaiting the breeze, and other fallen elements awaiting rot. These inform
multi-layered and delicately embossed monotype prints that chronicle traces of my time spent between
two homes in inner-city Dublin and Greater Belfast. Printing with natural elements collected in both
places, my childhood localities in co. Antrim are infused with the urban nature of Dublin. In turn, I am
exploring my own introspection into belonging, time, place, impermanence and fragility through process
and material.”

Artist Bio
Aisling Wilson (b. 1993 in Belfast), is a Belfast-based interdisciplinary artist working primarily in
monotype printmaking. She received her MFA in Painting from Boston University (2021) and BA in Fine
Art from Ulster University (2016). Awards include an Individual Artist grant from Arts Council of
Northern Ireland (2022), Director’s Fellowship and Constantin Alajalov Scholarship from Boston
University (2021), and British Universities North America Club Postgraduate Scholarship (2019). Recent
exhibitions include Solar Wind, John C. Hutcheson Gallery, Nashville, TN (2024), Mononchromatic,
Graphic Studio Dublin (2024) and Characters, All, Tiger Strikes Asteroid, Brookyln, NY (2021). She is a
current member of Belfast Print Workshop and Black Church Print Studio, Dublin.
