Cork native, John Donegan is a modern jazz pianist and composer of the highest calibre.
His influences include Bill Evans, Kenny Barron, Wynton Kelly, Bud Powell, Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett, and this can be heard in his numerous recordings and collaborations. He has performed with various UK, Irish and International artists, including Art Blakey, Art Farmer, Barney Kessel, Greg Abate, and Louis Stewart to name a few.
For this performance, John will be playing from his Irish Sextet work, featuring an all-star band of Michael Buckley, Richie Buckley, Linley Hamilton, Dan Bodwell, and John Daly. It is a band that brims with class, and chops to match. A perfect Saturday afternoon gig!
