‘Double Standards’ is a Belfast-based jazz quartet established in early 2024 by tenor saxophonist Laura McGrath and guitarist Mateusz J. Chmielewski, joined by Rohan Armstrong on double bass and Matt McCrudden on drums.
Drawing inspiration from 1950s straight-ahead jazz giants such as Sonny Rollins, Dexter Gordon, Phil Woods, and guitar greats like Barney Kessel, Joe Pass, Les Paul, and Hank Garland to name a few.
Their repertoire typically includes ballads, blues, and Latin flavours delivered in an approachable fashion.
Date: Sunday 19th Janurary 2025.
Times: Doors at 5:30pm, music from 6:00pm.
