about
Just like the world of horror cinema, Tarot can inspire and reveal deeper meanings within us, and act as a powerful tool for unlocking subconscious desires. Part of this power comes from the art itself, and during this workshop you will be harnessing the symbolism of Tarot to design your very own card.
Whether you are just curious about the world of Tarot, or a practicing witch with years of experience, this workshop will give you new insights into the history of the art, as well as tools and techniques to turn your ideas into a beautiful design imbued with your own unique perspective.
Each attendee to this workshop will be given a specially designed Tarot card template to collage, draw, paint and embellish, with guidance on symbolism and style. All materials will be provided, and no experience is required – just bring a mind open to inspiration, and we will work with you to create your own unique Tarot card to take home.
Hosted by Ghouls on Film Head Programmer and freelance Illustrator Isabella Koban, this workshop will be 90 minutes long, with an introduction into the meaning behind selected Tarot cards, alongside a variety of creative techniques that can be used to design your own card.
First session: 12.30 – 2pm
Second session: 2.30 – 4pm
Ghouls on Film is dedicated to making the world of horror more inclusive and accessible. If you have any access requirements or questions, don’t hesitate to let us know at [email protected].
