The Brexit debacle has Lorcan McGrane (BBC’s Live at the Sunflower, Edinburgh Fringe) in a contemplative mood as he presents a new comedy show about growing up in Monaghan in the 1980s and his lifelong love of going ‘up north’ with his unique geeky take on such topics as local folklore, low stakes smuggling and postmodern identity.
So come along and get your passport stamped at Lorcan’s comedy border booth* for a laid back afternoon of alternative stand up and see what side of the border you land on at ‘Borderlands’.
Monaghan native Lorcan started stand up in 2007 and has since written and performed six one-hour multi-media shows. He has supported such artists as Ardal O’Hanlon, Colin Murphy, Pat McDonnell, Kevin McAleer, John Colleary, Kevin Eldon, Teresa Livingstone, Bec Hill, Jarred Christmas, Kevin McGahern, and Foil Arms & Hog and has appeared on Today FM, BBC Radio 4, Newstalk, Phantom FM, and Dublin City FM.
