Join us for the Bounce Arts Festival Wrap Party, featuring a captivating performance by The High End Dead, a 5-piece alt rock band led by Ozie’s mesmerising vocals, as well as the inclusive vibes of Black Moon Disco. Celebrate the festival’s success with music, inclusivity, and liberating joy!
This event is part of Bounce Festival 2023 organised by University of Atypical for Arts and Disability. University of Atypical’s main funder is The National Lottery through the Arts Council of Northern Ireland made possible by Lottery Players.
The High End Dead:
The High End Dead are a 5-piece alt rock band, comprising of Ozie on lead vocals, Jason on vocals and drums, Aidan on keys, Caoilte on drums and bass and Josh on electric guitar. They amaze audiences with their own versions of well known covers, although they are in the process of writing their own music. They hope to release an ep in the very near future.
Black Moon Disco:
Black Moon is a night for and by adults with learning disabilities run by the Black Box arts venue. The event provides an authentic night out experience giving people a chance to socialise in a cool, modern environment, meet new people, have a dance and have a laugh! With live DJs, moving visuals and bar.
Access at the Black Box
Entry: You enter The Black Box from Hill Street. There is step-free access and automatic doors. The closest accessible parking is at St. Anne’s Cathedral. This is 0.2 miles from the Black Box. You can ask a taxi to drop you off outside the door.
Inside the Venue: There are two accessible toilets. One is in the main venue space. The other is in The Green Room Bar. The building is all on one level.
Additional Information: Carer/personal assistant tickets are free, if you need support when visiting the venue. You can bring medication, food, or equipment into the venue. Assistance dogs are welcome (advance notification is necessary). You can request ear plugs.
