Join us in the park for a music filled, fun afternoon for all the family, Bring a picnic and BLACK MOON DJ Collective will bring the beats! Disability culture in action! Come!
Black Moon – Pop-up Picnic Party is a chance to rock your wee socks off in the Ormeau Park to the hottest summer tunes with the wind in your hair. This one off event was selected by the people of Belfast as part of the Bank of Ideas Voting Day at City Hall and not to be missed!! This daylight dancehall is for all the family and brought to you by, and for people from the learning disabled community and is part of Belfast 2024. Join us for great music and community craic all while enjoying a picnic in the park. We want to see as many Black Moon clubbers come out to play and show the city who we are and how we like to party!
This event is free, and for people of all ages from the disabled and non disabled community. We hope you can come along. Share far and wide and let’s make it a really fun day!

Black Moon DJ Collective is DJ Twister, DJ Revolve and DJ Stevie B. They are a music collective from the learning disabled community who run a monthly club night at the Black Box, Belfast.
Black Moon is the longest running club night based in the Black Box, Belfast They recently performed on the main stage at Stendhal Festival 2024.

The Ormeau Park has a block of public toilets at the main entrance however this event will also have a Changing Places facility including –
Overhead ceiling hoist system
Height-adjustable adult sized changing bench
Toilet with grab rails
Warm and Cold running water
Shower space
Sink

Privacy screen
Large floor area
Attendant on hand to clean facility after each usage
