Charlie Shackleton returns to Belfast with another innovative and thought-provoking documentary exploration. With humor and self-examination, he presents a film about a film that never happened, his proposed streamer service doc on the infamous Zodiac Killer.

What results is a comment on the popular true crime genre that has seemingly exploded on Netflix, Amazon and Disney+. It is a simultaneous takedown of the often hackneyed conventions of the genre, while attempting to explain what might have been if the film had indeed been greenlit. Funny and bittersweet with a healthy dose of resentment, it’s a rare chance to learn more about the one that got away.
