A hard-boiled trio of Glaswegian musicians, the formidable AKU! combine three of Scotland’s most monstrous players, producing some of the wildest, hard-hitting noise you will ever hear.
AKU! generate their sound with saxophone and trombone trading between the roles of a rhythm section and a frontline with the use of effects, on top of highly intense drums. Fusing together the genres of noise-rock, afrobeat and hip-hop, AKU! are thriving to follow in the footsteps of artists including Death Grips, Sons of Kemet, Fela Kuti and The Thing.
