about

Featuring musicians from the Middle East and African continent – a diverse mix of songs, poetry and spoken word from artists we have welcomed to our shores for sanctuary.

The Musicians Artists at Risk Resettlement Scheme (MARRS) was set up in 2021 by Beyond Skin to support people arriving to our shores seeking sanctuary. This event is in partnership with 5th Element.

Join us for this event featuring music and stories from the Middle East & African Continent with collaborations from musicians that were born in Northern Ireland, have settled for many years, or have just arrived. Includes the sharing of stories from young Afghan women who are starting over in Belfast.

MARRS Belfast project supported by Belfast City Council Good Relations & Arts Council Northern Ireland.
