COVID-19

We look forward to welcoming you to shows at The Black Box!

We can now host seated and standing shows at full capacity. In advance of your visit there are a number of things you need to know.

All ticket holders attending events at The Black Box or Green Room, or visiting the Green Room bar during regular opening hours are required to complete a COVID Status Check.

All ticket holders aged 18 and over, will need to provide ONE of the following acceptable types of proof that include:

  • Domestic Covid Vaccine Certificate / CovidCertNI App

• Other Covid vaccine certificate (if using an international certificate or old UK certificate you will also need photo ID)
• Covid vaccine card and photo ID
• Proof of negative lateral flow test dated within 48 hours and photo ID
• Proof of positive PCR Covid test within the previous 30 to 180 days and photo ID

Please note we are awaiting further instruction from Northern Ireland Executive and these options may change.

All ticket holders will be required to complete a COVID Status Check on arrival at the venue.

Additional measures to keep you and our staff team safe:

  • We ask that you are respectful of others and keep your distance from other people are you move through the venue
  • We ask that you sanitise you hands on arrival and regularly wash and sanitise you hands throughout your visit
  • Face coverings are required and should be worn on arrival and throughout your visit. Face coverings can removed when you are drinking/eating, or if you are exempt form wearing one.
  • We will have enhanced cleaning before and after events and additional sanitisation during events
  • Black Box staff and security staff will be to hand to help manage queues and the movement of people through the venue
  • Contact details of visitors to the venue will be retained for Track and Trace purposes. Please scan the QR code on arrival. Date is held in line with GDPR.

Ticket holders from Northern Ireland

If you are resident in Northern Ireland,  you can register for a domestic Covid vaccine certificate and download the CovidCertNI App  –  Follow these instructions. You can also demonstrate your COVID Status by doing one of the following: Please note we are awaiting further instruction from Northern Ireland Executive and these options may change.

  1. Demonstrating proof of full vaccination by showing:
    • A COVIDCert NI passport
    • Your COVID-19 Vaccination Card and photographic ID matching the name on your vaccination card
    • Other government-issued proof of full vaccination and photographic ID matching the name on your vaccination card
  2. Presenting receipt of a negative result issued by SMS or email if presenting a Lateral Flow Test
  3. Presenting proof of a positive COVID-19 PCR test, within 180 days of the event you are attending, to include the isolation period

Rapid COVID-19 tests can be obtained by anyone who requires them, free of charge. Rapid test packs can be ordered online for free delivery to your home. Order tests on the Gov.uk website.

Ticket holders from outside Northern Ireland

Ticket holders from outside Northern Ireland can demonstrate their COVID Status by doing one of the following:

  1. Using the EU Digital COVID Certificate (DCC)
  2. Demonstrating proof of full vaccination by showing your HSE Vaccination Card and photographic ID matching the name on your vaccination card
  3. Demonstrating proof of full vaccination by showing:
    • Your COVID-19 Vaccination Card and photographic ID matching the name on your vaccination card
    • NHS COVID Pass
    • Other government-issued proof of full vaccination and photographic ID matching the name on your vaccination card
  4. Presenting receipt of a negative result issued by SMS or email if presenting a Lateral Flow Test
  5. Presenting proof of a positive COVID-19 PCR test, within 180 days of the event you are attending, to include the isolation period.

Main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19)

In addition to the requirement to complete a COVID Status Check to attend events, we ask patrons not to visit our venues if you are feeling unwell. The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:

  • A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)
  • A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)
  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
