about

Join us on 10th November at The Black Box, as Gig Buddies Belfast and Carousel join forces for an evening of live music, showcasing local bands and welcoming learning-disabled musicians.

Stopping into Belfast on their UK tour, we welcome Carousel represented artists Ryan O’Donovan and Daniel Wakeford all the way from sunny Brighton! With show-stopping headliners The Skallions, this will be sure to be an unforgettable night, highlighting how everybody has the ability to make and enjoy music.

A little bit about our performers for the evening:

“My name is Ryan O’Donovan, a soul naturally born for the sole purpose of rocking/thrashing it large. I’m known for being in rock band Beat Express on guitar and backing vocals, heavier rock band Lost Asylum on lead vocals, and metal band Strenuous on lead vocals and rhythm guitar. Oh, and there’s my solo work when the time comes! Whatever the capacity, I am, as I say, always out to rock out.” – Ryan O’Donovan

Daniel Wakeford is a singer-songwriter from Brighton, UK.

Daniel, who describes himself as a singer-songwriter with autism, is an inspirational performer and is forging a new path through the music scene in the UK and portrays a much-needed positive image of learning-disabled people in the media. His popularity in mainstream culture is partly due to his show-stealing appearances on Channel 4’s hit TV programme The Undateables. He has featured on the show more than any other person they have filmed to date, and when they revisited Daniel for the fourth time, going on tour and performing his track Playboy Girls, there was an immediate and overwhelming response to his music. Daniel’s third studio album, ‘The Rock Pop Album’ will be released in November 2022 on Common Raven Records, and will be followed by more tour dates in 2023.

Tickets £8, with Free PA tickets. Doors at 7pm. Over 18’s, with both standing and seated spaces.
