As part of Women’s Work 2022 we’re delighted to welcome some of Ireland’s fastest-rising and dedicated names in electro-pop including Bobbi Arlo, Chubby Cat & Eve Belle, with an afterparty of tasty late-night floor-fillers courtesy of new-wave electro artist KEM.
A ferocious talent with the attitude to match, Arlo has come from nowhere to establish herself as one of Ireland’s most exciting in demand new acts. With each release and with every live show, Arlo consistently raises the bar and leaves her fans yearning for more. Fast becoming known for her knack for crafting pop anthems, the future is red hot for this alt pop siren.
Chubby Cat is an up and coming Dublin based Electro Pop Artist that released her newest single, “not a vibe” on March 18th, 2022. A music graduate of BIMM Dublin, Chubby Cat is pursuing her music career by moving around the UK and Ireland, working with a number of well-known writers in tandem with perfecting her live sound. Chubby Cat is dedicated to cultivating a musical space where individuals have the freedom to express themselves however they want while keeping her sound stamped with individuality and creating a style of her own.
Eve Belle is a Belfast-based musician originally from Donegal. She has dabbled in indie pop and folk over the years, and has since found herself somewhere in between the two. Her debut album, ‘In Between Moments’, was released in October 2020 and achieved excellent reviews, receiving 4 stars from the Irish Times.She has supported acts such as Hozier, Frightened Rabbit and Wyvern Lingo and is currently working on brand new and wonderfully sad music about life as a very short musician in this big bad world.
Hailing from a wee village in Tyrone, KEM cut her teeth mixing while living in Hanoi, Vietnam. She swiftly gained a solid reputation for her selections, and became a regular name on lineups in the city’s underground music scene. Now with her dancing feet firmly planted back on home soil, KEM is touted as one of Belfast’s rising talents. Her taste is strongly influenced by the alternative sounds of the 80’s – a transformative musical era of funk, post-disco, new wave & post punk. You can expect a dark, yet funk-fuelled electronic music experience that always aims to get bodies grooving.
