13 for 13! Part 1

The Black Box is 13 this year and to celebrate and help us ease into adolescence we are aiming to raise £13k!

This £13k will help us to modernise our equipment, fix some leaky pipes and support our valuable outreach projects like Black Moon and Mini Moon

As part of the campaign, we have invited 13 of our best mates to be the boss of their own Green Room night where they pick the entertainment, pull pints behind the bar and design a toastie for the menu.

Thank you to Bill Harris for bringing the glam and psychedelic vibes to the Green Room on the 19th July and for kicking off the first of our 13 guest-curated nights

A shout out to Joe Green for letting us venture down the corridors of his mind putting together a great night and probably one of the best Toastie combo and name ever! Cheesus and Mary Chain

Brian Carson served us a night of crusty old mixtapes from an era way past his bedtime with a live intervention by percussionist Steve Davis.

We even got some of our staff involved in DJ’ing their tunes for a night and take requests from the public. (This was great as some of the selections made from the staff were very…um…interesting?)

So far from these nights we have raised £520! And our facebook fundraiser has £200!
