22007319_372144019887252_6858042771498749458_nTRÚ is a trio from Northern Ireland with an eclectic musical heritage, absorbing groove, Irish trad, and choral harmony to create their own soulful vibe.

This afternoon gig in The Green Room is the final NI date to launch their début single on Lyte Records, “County Down”.
Individually, these 3 artists are unique; Mormecha’s “LOFi LiFE” was shortlisted for the 2016 NI Music Prize, Trouton tours the world with ANÚNA, and Kearney has recorded as a solo vocalist for Nintendo, Beats by Dre, and World of Warcraft.

Collectively, TRÚ’s sound is ambitious, intricate and timeless. Produced by critically acclaimed jazz/hop-hop producer David Lyttle (Lyte Records), TRÚ’s first single from their début album is “County Down”.

“””Very, very beautiful… Great song, great performance and great production.”” – Carl Corcoran, RTÉ

“”Stunning!”” – Sam Lee, BBC Radio 2 Folk Award winner

“”Powerful and moving.”” – Tommy Sands, songwriter

“”I love their soulful, contemporary arrangements of traditional songs… how they allow the vocals to shine through in order for the audience to feel the power of the voice.”” – Lynette Fay, BBC Radio Ulster

“”A tradhead, an indiehead and a skinhead – this is what you get!”” – Swallow Song Records”

Come along for a coffee and some chilled out folk-soul!
