Storyline- The Punk Singer charts the life and career of riot grrrl pioneer Kathleen Hanna. The frontwoman of Bikini Kill and Le Tigre, Hanna was instrumental in helping to launch third-wave feminism. She spoke and continues to speak for women’s rights through art, poetry, fashion and writing, as well as music. She also created safe spaces at her gigs for female concert goers to enjoy music free from harrassment.
