Black Music Bible NI/Ireland presents – The Phil Ware Trio – The trio is made up of three of Irelands most talented jazz musicians, Phil Ware, Dave Redmond and Kevin Brady who have played with some of the best artists in the world. Together they will perform their own brand of jazz, fusing classic cool soundscapes with modern urban vibes . Added to the mix is a little twist of soul with guest singer Siobhan Brown who will perform some eclectic soulful jazz tunes with the dynamic trio. Siobhan is well known for her soul funk vocals with her Manukahunney bands who regularly play here at the Black Box. Anyone who loves quality jazz with a taste of soul will love this night – A night not to be missed it!!
UK-born pianist Phil Ware made the transition from blues to jazz in his early twenties. Teaching himself the style through trial and error, he was twice a finalist in the Young Jazz Musician of the Year by the time he was 25.
Irish Bassist David Redmond is best known for his collaborations with renowned Irish and International groups, and musicians such as Van Morrison, Tommy Halferty, Luka Bloom, Dave Geraghty (Bellx1, Choice award nominee), Jimmy McCarthy, Michael, Richie and Hugh Buckley.
Kevin Brady has been a professional musician for 20 years. He studied music in Ireland, England, USA, South Africa, Cuba and has performed worldwide with leading contemporary & popular musicians. In 1998 he focused his studies on drumkit performance & jazz improvisation receiving the Licentiate in Drumkit Performance awarded by the London Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
