The Words of Tongue or Pen: A Celebration of rallying cries from the Disability Rights Movement

To celebrate 25 years of the Arts & Disability Forum (now known as University of Atypical) in Belfast, we have collaborated with UsFolk design and illustration agency and Ben Crothers, curator of the Naughton Gallery, to put together an illustrative homage to the best known protest slogans and rallying cries from the last four decades of the Disability Rights movement. A testament to the power and importance of the spoken and written word in activism and social movements, this exhibition pays tribute to what has gone before while acting as a reminder that the fight for disability rights still continues.
The exhibition launches on Thursday July 5th at 6pm in The Green Room as part of Late Night Art.
