Kicking off the 2017 Comedy Lab summer season, Cathedral Quarter Comedy Club is proud to present the new work-in-progress show from the critically-acclaimed and hotly tipped Scottish comic Fern Brady.

Fern is a comedian from Edinburgh and has been performing stand up since 2010. In 2013 she quit her day job working with male ex convicts after Stewart Lee saw a clip of her on Youtube and put her on The Alternative Comedy Experience (Comedy Central). Since then she has performed stand up on a number of TV shows including 8 out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Seann Walsh’s Late Night Comedy Spectacular (BBC3), Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central (Comedy Central), The One Show (BBC1) and Viceland’s new series Brexit Stage Left. She is a regular panellist on BBC Radio Scotland’s political panel show Breaking the News. Other radio work includes Radio 4’s State of the Nations, Radio 4Xtra, the Today Programme and Shaun Keaveny’s show on BBC 6Music. Now based in London, she has had two sold out critically acclaimed runs at the Fringe with her solo shows “People Are Idiots” (2015) and “Male Comedienne” (2016). Following the success of Male Comedienne, she recently signed a distribution deal with US producers Comedy Dynamics and recorded her first stand up special with them.
